Canada Day Salsabor at City Hall Plaza

Calgary City Hall,
716 MacLeod Trail SE
3 PM – 8 PM Latin Sound Productions, Salsa on The Street and Expo Latino will be producing a free salsa dance party with Latin tunes provided by DJ Henry and guests.

Heritage Park Canada Day

Heritage Park, 1900 Heritage Drive SW 10 AM – 5 PM Free pancake breakfast for the first 2,019 guests with paid admission before 10:30 am. 50% off for seniors 65+.

The Mac + Cheese Festival

Olympic Plaza, 222 8 Avenue SE 12 PM – 7 PM Free admission to North America’s largest food festival celebrating everything mac and cheese.

Canada Day Block Party

Max Bell Centre, 1001 Barlow Trail SE 1 PM – 11 PM Free all-ages family event with music and entertainment provided by True Rhythm, complete with a Kids Zone, Wild Rose Brewery beer gardens, Indigenous Village, and great view of the evening’s fireworks.

East Village Street Fair 2019

Between the City Hall LRT station and Fort Calgary 10 AM – 4 PM Road festival with an interactive children’s area, a variety of musicians and street performers, plus more than 80 non-profits and vendors to browse from.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada Day 2019

Prairie Winds Park, 223 Castleridge Blvd NE 11 AM – 2 PM AMJ promotes national pride and community spirit by hosting a free BBQ, mosque tours, recreational activities and games for kids, and vendor stalls from various commercial and non-profit organizations.

Canada Day at Eau Claire

Eau Claire Plaza, 3 St. and Riverfront Ave SW 11 AM – 9 PM An all-ages event with free ice cream, live entertainment, an artisan market, children’s crafts, face painting, airbrush tattoos, a petting zoo, and a magician.

Canada Day at Studio Bell

Studio Bell, 850 4 St SE 10 AM – 5PM Featuring hands-on activities for folks of all ages and abilities, family-friendly experiences and, of course, live music on multiple stages. Admission is free thanks to the support of Bell.

Canada Day ENMAX Fireworks at the Centre Street Bridge

Centre Street Bridge 11 PM – 11:20 PM Best views of the fireworks are along the Bow River corridor, with prime vantage spots being Riverfront Ave, Nose Hill Park, the Max Bell Centre, Tom Campbell’s Hill Natural Park, and the South Bow River pathway between 1st and 3rd St SW.

Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre Celebration

Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre, 197 1 Street SW 11 AM – 6 PM Artistic performances, family-friendly activities, and authentic cuisine will help enhance your knowledge of the multicultural groups Canada is comprised of. Best of all, there’s a prize wheel to spin.

The Bounce Games Park in East Village

East Village District, 439 8 Ave SE 9 AM – 5 PM Skip, hop and jump over to The Bounce where you’ll find games, basketball, art and more!

Canada Day at Fort Calgary

Fort Calgary, 750 9 Ave SE 11 AM – 4 PM Activities include movies, dressing up in Mountie uniforms, learning about Blackfoot ecology, and drinking beer on the patio for parents who need a breather from the day’s festivities.

Calgary Public Library Canada Day Celebration

New Central Library, 802 3 St SE 12 – 5 PM Take part in special story times, crafts for all ages, Indigenous games and tipi raising, and even a road hockey game. Enjoy their Canadian Film Festival, musical performances, tours of the new Central Library, and receive personally scribed poems.

Encore 4-on-4 Street Hockey Tournament

Southcentre Mall, 100 Anderson Rd SE 8 AM – 6 PM This Canada Day you’ll have the opportunity to be crowned a street hockey champion! There are divisions for all ages and skill levels, making this an event that everyone can enjoy. Tier 3 pricing ends June 18, 2019. Sign up at www.encore4on4.com.

Canada Day Outdoor Carnival

Springs Church Calgary, 924 Heritage Dr SW 11 AM – 3 PM With the purchase of a $5 wristband or $20 family pack, you’ll have access to a petting zoo, face painting, princess and Jedi training, carnival games, and more.

Prince’s Island Park Canada Day Celebrations

Prince’s Island Park, 27 Prince’s Island Path SW 11 AM – 5 PM A family-oriented bash with multicultural events such as the Indigenous Powwow and Showcase, red and white turban wrapping by member of the local Sikh community, and Francophone entertainment complimented by vendors serving poutine, smoked meat, and maple taffy. ENMAX will also have a photo booth on site for commemorative pictures of Canada’s 152nd birthday.
